Additional Information 

Special mixtures 

  • Any combination of compatible products, including micronutrients and other additives, can be blended prior to despatch to create a ‘special mix’
  • Before placing a special mix order, please check product compatibility, especially for products containing nitrogen
  • Orders for special mixes should be placed at least two days before the required delivery date
  • Orders must be clearly marked with ‘special mix’ and the individual ingredients should be clearly stated in percentages or kg/tonne
  • Additional charges apply for special mixes. Please contact Customer Services on 0800 222 090 to confirm pricing on all special mix orders

Bagged fertiliser 

Bagged fertiliser attracts additional fees as follows:

  • 1000 kg Single-trip bags
    • Bag and filling fee $40 per bag
  • 500 kg Single-trip bags
    • Bag and filling fee $40 per bag
  • 20 kg bags
    • Filling fee $170 per tonne
    • Premiums apply to all bagged gypsum. Please contact Customer Services for details.
  • All other bag sizes
    • Premiums apply. Please contact Customer Services for details.
    • Please allow a minimum of five to ten days for bagging on non-standard product lines.
    • Ballance is offering a free service of reclamation for used bags and customers are invited to return their empties (in a clean condition) to their nearest Service Centre for recycling.

Pallets 

  • Pallets uplifted from Ballance Service Centres will be charged at $75 per pallet
  • Pallets returned in good condition and with proof of purchase will be credited to the customer’s account
  • To avoid disappointment, any special arrangements for pallets should be clearly stated on the order

Ordering options 

Orders can be placed in any of the following ways:

  • Through your local Ballance Nutrient Specialist
  • By phoning Customer Services on 0800 222 090
  • Through your local Ballance Service Centre or consignment store
  • Through our online ordering system
  • Through your preferred rural supplier
  • To register for our online ordering system, phone Customer Services on 0800 222 090. You must be a transacting Ballance customer to register for this service.
  • Once placed, all orders remain valid for 6 months.

Important information 

• If product will not be spread immediately, it must be stored in clean, dry conditions
• Products (whether in bulk or bagged form) should not be stored for a prolonged period
• We recommend that products containing nitrogen are spread soon after uplift. Nitrogen-containing products may become hard and lumpy if stored for more than a short time
• If you are unsure of the keeping qualities of your fertiliser blend, please seek advice from your Ballance Nutrient Specialist
• Do not allow livestock to graze top dressed pasture until fertiliser has disappeared from the foliage
• All Ballance products contain less than 270 g fluorine and 280 mg cadmium per kg of phosphorus
