Moving to a Different WeWork Location
WeWork members can transfer their membership to a different building. This guide explains how transfers work, the notice required, and how to manage the transition.
Types of Transfers
- Same city: Moving to a different WeWork building within your city.
- Different city: Transferring to a location in another city or country.
Transfer Process
- Open the WeWork app and go to Account > Membership > Change Location.
- Search for your desired new location and check availability for your plan type.
- Select a move date. WeWork typically requires at least 30 days notice before the transfer takes effect.
- Review the new pricing (rates vary by city and building) and confirm the transfer request.
- You will receive a confirmation email with your new building address and move date.
Before Your Transfer Date
- Return any access cards or equipment to the front desk at your current location.
- Update your mailing address on any business registrations or correspondence to the new building address.
- Inform regular visitors of the new building address.
- Collect any stored items from lockers.
On Your First Day at the New Location
- Visit the community team at the front desk to collect your new access card.
- Your WeWork app will automatically reflect the new building.
- Existing room booking credits carry over — they are not affected by the transfer.
Pricing at the New Location
WeWork pricing is location-specific. If the new building is priced differently from your current one, the new rate applies from your transfer date. The difference is prorated on the next invoice if the transfer falls mid-cycle.
International Transfers
Transferring to a location in another country may involve different contract terms, currency, and tax treatment. Contact your Account Manager or WeWork Support before initiating an international transfer.
